Q. There’s lots of information online about owning a puppy, why would I need to attend a course?
A. We would encourage all prospective puppy owners to do as much research as they can before buying a puppy. The problem with relying purely on what’s online is making sure it’s written by credible, expert sources, getting your head around often conflicting advice and information, and getting quickly to the information that’s relevant to your breed and your individual circumstances.
At our specialist Puppy Preparation workshop, you’ll be in a room with a passionate and knowlageble leader who has experience of different breeds. You’ll get your questions answered directly and hands on, practical, training. Everything you’ll need to know in fact, to be set up and ready for your puppy.
Q. I grew up with dogs and consider myself quite a confident and knowledgeable dog owner. Will I still benefit from this course?
Also, our courses have the added benefit of creating a social circle for our attendees. Your group are likely to meet after the course and enjoy dog walks, meet ups and support, as you embark on your new puppy-owning adventure together.
Q. How do I book onto a course?
A. Simply fill out this form and register for the workshop you would like to attend. If you aren’t ready to commit, or are still waiting for your puppy, let us know your puppy’s arrival date and we can let you know about future workshops.
Q. What is the cost of a course?
A. The course cost is £120 per person or £180 for two people on the same booking. This includes your workshop, access to a knowledgeable professional, being part of a social circle and lots of additional expert support materials and information which will be provided at your workshop and via our website.
Q. Do I have to have my puppy before attending the course?
A. No, our course is perfect for you if you are waiting for the arrival of your puppy, but if your puppy has arrived, you are also very welcome. The key is to ensure your dog is trained in the right behaviours as early as possible, so ideally we help puppies up to 16 weeks, however, we welcome all puppy owners needing assistance, and even those with rescue dogs who may need to help their new arrivals settle in and rid of bad-habits or difficult behaviour.
Q. How many people will be on the course?
A. Each course will have up to fifteen attendees, adults only.
