Preparation Is Key
25% of new dog owners don’t do any research before getting a pet and, of those who do research, 51% rely on the internet, which is not always a good substitute for in-person training.
New Paws trains owners in a workshop setting. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate very young children (we suggest 10 yrs +) but welcome families as it’s important everyone is involved in the training!
Not having any fluffy distractions means owners can learn in a relaxed setting and ask our expert trainers the questions that are important to them.

The First 16 Weeks Are Critical
A dog’s brain is most receptive to training during the first 16 weeks.
This is the critical time to teach your puppy rules, limits, acceptable behaviours in the home and around others, as well as confidence and calm in a range of situations. If you miss this window, changing your dog’s behaviour becomes a very challenging task.
That’s why New Paws workshops are designed for people who are either waiting for their new puppy to arrive or are new puppy owners (within the first 16 weeks).

A Small Investment Now Will Save Money In The Long-Term
You may think, ‘Why do I need to spend money now? My puppy might be perfectly well behaved?’
Over the last two years, 57% of veterinary professionals have reported an increase in dog behavioural issues.
The reality is, badly behaved dogs can be very expensive for owners.
From costly corrective training sessions, repairs to household damage and the invisible cost the stress a badly behaved puppy can put on owners and their relationships.
At New Paws we have priced our workshops fairly to ensure this small up front cost will help you avoid costs in the future.

Life is Better With Friends (Furry & Non-Furry)
Socalising your puppy from an early age is vital for dog development.
However, we also recognise that building a support community of like-minded dog owners local to you, is equally important.
Puppy life isn’t always easy. Having someone to speak to who is going through the same is a lifesaver. Trust us, everyone needs to vent!
By attending one of our workshops, you’ll become part of a committed group of people you can get in touch with for walks, pupp-i-cinos, and chats about all-things-puppy.
