​This is Django. This Czech Wolfdog is the adorable reason we started our new business – New Paws.

Django arrived with his huge fluffy paws and irresistible ‘who me’ eyes into the household of some good friends of ours, who just happened to also be expecting their second baby (it seemed like a good idea at the time!). It turned out to be a joyous, fun-filled, but overwhelming experience for everyone in the family, including Django.

Django’s human father had owned dogs previously, but as a young family, they simply weren’t prepared for the constant attention and work involved with raising a new puppy to become a well-behaved and happy dog, especially one of this size. They found lots of support for how to prepare for a new baby, yet nothing to prepare for Django!

We didn’t let sleeping dogs lie.

We launched New Paws to provide new puppy-owners with knowledge and a social support network to help them navigate the puppy journey.
